Straight answers
What is a stretch ceiling?
A PVC membrane stretched tight over a slim aluminium frame fixed around the room. It's heated so it stretches, then cools into a smooth, flat finish. No plaster, no paint.
Can it cover a stipple / popcorn ceiling?
Yes. The new ceiling sits just below the old one, so there's no scraping or stripping. The stipple stays hidden behind it.
Is it ok in bathrooms?
Yes. PVC isn't bothered by steam or moisture, so it won't peel or flake like painted plaster.
How long does install take?
A typical room takes a few hours and is often done the same day. Bigger or more complex jobs take longer. We'll tell you at the site visit.
Can lights go in it?
Yes. Spotlights and linear LED can be built in. Plan them with us before install so the fittings go in the right place.
